1. Contractor Qualification Requirements

Licensing and Insurance

All contractors must maintain:

  • Valid California contractor's license (as applicable)
  • General liability insurance (minimum $1M coverage)
  • Workers' compensation insurance
  • Professional liability coverage (where applicable)
  • Current business license and tax registration

Background and Verification

Contractors must pass:

  • Comprehensive background check
  • Criminal history screening
  • Reference verification from previous clients
  • Financial responsibility check
  • Drug screening (for certain service categories)

Professional Standards

Contractors must demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of quality workmanship
  • Professional certifications (where applicable)
  • Commitment to continuing education

2. Service Standards and Expectations

Quality Standards

All work must meet or exceed:

  • Industry best practices and standards
  • Local building codes and regulations
  • Manufacturer specifications for materials
  • Beverly Hills Estate Services quality guidelines

Professional Conduct

Contractors must:

  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Respect client property and privacy
  • Communicate clearly and promptly
  • Arrive punctually for scheduled appointments
  • Clean up work areas upon completion
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Customer Service

Expected service levels include:

  • Courteous and respectful interaction with clients
  • Clear explanation of work to be performed
  • Prompt response to client questions and concerns
  • Professional handling of complaints or issues
  • Follow-up to ensure client satisfaction

3. Payment Terms and Conditions

Payment Structure

  • Payment rates are established by mutual agreement
  • Emergency service rates may include premium charges
  • Travel time compensation for distant properties
  • Material costs passed through at cost plus agreed markup

Payment Processing

  • Payments processed within 15 days of completed work
  • Direct deposit or check payment options available
  • Detailed invoicing required for all services
  • Tax documents (1099) issued annually

Platform Fees

  • Service fee deducted from contractor payments
  • Fee structure varies by service type and volume
  • No hidden fees or surprise charges
  • Fee schedule provided upon contractor approval

4. Liability and Insurance Requirements

Contractor Liability

Contractors are responsible for:

  • All work performed under their license
  • Damage caused by negligence or poor workmanship
  • Safety violations or accidents on job sites
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Insurance Coverage

Required insurance minimums:

  • General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence
  • Professional Liability: $500,000 per claim
  • Workers' Compensation: As required by law
  • Commercial Auto: $1,000,000 (if applicable)

Additional Insured

Beverly Hills Estate Services must be named as additional insured on:

  • General liability policies
  • Professional liability policies
  • Commercial auto policies (where applicable)

5. Scheduling and Availability

Service Availability

  • Contractors must maintain consistent availability
  • Emergency service contractors must be on-call rotation
  • Advance notice required for extended unavailability
  • Backup coverage arrangements for planned absences

Response Times

  • Emergency services: 2-hour response time
  • Urgent repairs: Same or next business day
  • Routine maintenance: Within agreed timeframe
  • Preventive services: As scheduled

6. Quality Assurance and Performance

Performance Monitoring

We monitor contractor performance through:

  • Client satisfaction surveys
  • Quality inspections of completed work
  • Response time and reliability tracking
  • Complaint and resolution monitoring

Performance Standards

Minimum performance requirements:

  • Client satisfaction rating: 4.5/5.0 or higher
  • On-time arrival rate: 95% or higher
  • Work quality rating: 4.5/5.0 or higher
  • Communication rating: 4.0/5.0 or higher

Performance Improvement

For contractors not meeting standards:

  • Performance review and coaching sessions
  • Additional training opportunities
  • Probationary period with enhanced monitoring
  • Termination for persistent performance issues

7. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure

Client Confidentiality

Contractors must maintain strict confidentiality regarding:

  • Client personal information and property details
  • Property access codes and security information
  • Client lifestyle and personal circumstances
  • Property conditions and maintenance history

Business Information

Contractors may not disclose:

  • Proprietary business processes and procedures
  • Pricing structures and client agreements
  • Client lists and contact information
  • Competitive business information

8. Termination and Suspension

Grounds for Termination

Contractor agreements may be terminated for:

  • Breach of contract terms or conditions
  • Consistent failure to meet performance standards
  • Safety violations or unsafe work practices
  • Client complaints or unprofessional conduct
  • Loss of required licenses or insurance
  • Criminal activity or legal violations

Termination Process

  • Written notice of termination reasons
  • Opportunity to respond and correct issues
  • Completion of work in progress
  • Final payment processing
  • Return of company materials and credentials

9. Independent Contractor Relationship

Contractor Status

This agreement establishes an independent contractor relationship. Contractors:

  • Are not employees of Beverly Hills Estate Services
  • Are responsible for their own taxes and benefits
  • May work for other companies and clients
  • Control their own work methods and procedures
  • Are responsible for their own tools and equipment

Exclusive Restrictions

While working through our platform, contractors may not:

  • Directly solicit our clients for independent work
  • Share client contact information with competitors
  • Use our client relationships for personal business
  • Compete directly with our core services
